Kirei's S urfapaint has the ability to self-clean , thanks to SURFASHIELD technology, remaining like new after prolonged exposure to environmental factors and dirt.
SurfaSil Kirei is an environmentally friendly mineral coating that uses photocatalytic pigments to reduce harmful gases and odors.

Among its main characteristics are water repellency, high vapor permeability, durability and antimicrobial properties against algae, fungi, spores and surface contaminants.

It provides exterior protection to buildings, contributing to the degradation of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere. The hydrophobic groups in the pores of the paint prevent the penetration of liquid water, while still allowing vapors to escape.

SurfaSil Kirei is suitable for both exterior and interior use on new or previously painted mineral surfaces such as concrete, lime, plaster and mineral tiles. Ideal for areas with high levels of pollution, such as urban, industrial or factory areas, but also for indoor spaces with poor air quality. It is also recommended for protection against mold and algae in areas with high humidity and condensation.

The self-cleaning process occurs by the fact that dirt decomposes into carbon dioxide and inorganic material only through light energy. At the same time, bacteria, viruses, fungi and mold, (LISTERIA, E COLI, STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS) are eliminated.

It is ideal for construction surfaces exposed to high humidity and adverse environmental conditions, such as coastal areas. It can be used on exterior surfaces (walls, masonry, cement, drywall) and surfaces with high humidity. It promotes healthy humidity regulation by providing excellent resistance to water infiltration.

Application Instructions

All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, salts, grease, rust and loose residues. New cement or masonry substrates must be cured for at least 4 weeks before application. Damaged substrates, cracks and holes must be repaired with suitable repair materials.
SurfaPaint Kirei can be applied directly to interior or exterior wall surfaces (masonry, concrete, plaster, drywall).
Mix well before use. Before applying the paint, use SURFASIL PRIMER, let it dry for 6-8 hours and then apply KIREI paint in two coats. The paint can be diluted with 5% water if necessary.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry before application. Remove any dust and dirt. Apply the paint with a roller or brush. On surfaces where other waterproofing products have been applied or on surfaces already modified, a test application should be made on a small area before full application to avoid any adhesion failure.
New cement substrates or new masonry must be allowed to cure for at least 4 weeks before application. Damaged substrates, cracks and holes must be repaired.

Note this:

If the surface is not properly cleaned (dust, grease, mold, old peeling layer), the self-cleaning effectdoes not activate completelyor it may be ineffective.

Surfaces that are too absorbent or friable require priming before application.

Self-cleaning works mainly fordust, light dirt and splashes of water/liquids, butcannot remove grease stains, cigarette smoke, oils or graffiti.

Indoors, if it is exposed to constant mechanical friction (for example, next to a bed or in a play area), it may require touch-ups.

HOW TO USE

CLEAN AND DRY THE SURFACE WELL

How does the self-cleaning effect of paint work?
