Description

Acrylic Concrete Paint, SurfaPaint™ Acrylic Hard Floor is an excellent quality water-based acrylic paint, ideal for interior and exterior cement floor surfaces, as it exhibits excellent abrasion resistance on pedestrian and light vehicle traffic surfaces.

SurfaPaint™ Acrylic Hard Floor stands out for its easy application, stain resistance and durability thanks to the high-quality acrylic resin it contains.

The topcoat protects against water absorption or oil stains (liquid fuel, grease, engine oil, tire marks).

It is also resistant to chemicals, ultraviolet radiation and extreme weather conditions. This durability makes it suitable for application on pedestrian and light vehicle floors. The final result has a satin finish and is available in white and grey.

Application Instructions

Before applying SurfaPaint™ Acrylic Hard Floor, the surface is primed using the same product, diluted up to 20% by volume with water, or with a water-based primer, such as SurfaMix™ P (for porous surfaces) and SurfaMix™ Epoxy Primer WB (for non-porous surfaces, e.g. metal surfaces, ceramic tiles, cement surfaces or old polyurethane coatings.
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and loose residue. New cementitious substrates must be cured for at least 3-4 weeks before applying the primer. Cracks and joints must be filled with suitable repair material.
Mix well before use.
Apply 2 cross-layers using a quality brush, roller or airless sprayer, respecting a 24-hour interval between coats.
Make sure corners and edges are properly covered.
Reapplication time should be 24 hours, with cross-application. Maximum protection is achieved 7 days after application. Good ventilation is necessary to ensure proper drying.

Note this:

Do not apply to wet surfaces or fresh concrete (less than 28 days old).

Avoid application below +10°C or above +30°C.
Not recommended for heavy traffic without additional protection.
Do not use in permanently humid spaces (e.g. bathrooms, swimming pools).
Surfaces soiled with oil, grease or salts must be cleaned beforehand.

HOW TO USE

CLEAN AND DRY THE SURFACE WELL

For this step, you can use a detergent from the Nanomax Cleaner Pro range for cleaning stone/pavement and concrete. Clean the surface thoroughly with detergent and let it dry thoroughly. Use protective gloves.

MIX THE PAINT WELL, APPLY WITH A BRUSH, IN A FINE LAYER, DO NOT STEAM OR LET THE SURFACE COME INTO CONTACT WITH WATER FOR AT LEAST 5 HOURS

Protect the treated surface from water or other factors. Allow at least 5 hours to dry.

IF NECESSARY, APPLY A SECOND COAT USING A BRUSH OR ROLLER, IN A THIN LAYER

Protect the treated surface from water or other factors. After 5 hours apply the 2nd very thin layer to strengthen the protection and color. Leave for at least 3 hours to dry thoroughly.

DO NOT STEAM OR LET THE SURFACE COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER FOR AT LEAST 5 HOURS

This period represents critical initial setting time of the paint, where the film begins to adhere to the concrete. Contact with water or premature circulation can affect adhesion, cause stains, marks or peeling of the applied layer.

FAQ

What types of surfaces can this paint be applied to?

NanoMax acrylic paint is intended for surfaces made of weathered concrete(at least 28 days old), such as driveways, sidewalks, garages, curbs, patios or decks. Not recommended for application to wood, metal, asphalt or wet concrete.

How long do I have to wait before driving on the surface?

For light pedestrian traffic, a complete drying of at least 24 hoursFor car traffic or intense demands, it is recommended at least 72 hoursdrying, under ideal temperature and humidity conditions.

Is the paint waterproof?

The paint has a good water resistance after complete drying, but it is not waterproof in itself For additional protection against moisture or weather, it is recommended to apply a final layer of NanoMax protective varnish (e.g.Pavement Top Coat or Wet Pro).

How to maintain the painted surface?

The painted surface can be easily cleaned with water and a weak alkaline detergent. Avoid acidic or abrasive substances. To maintain the appearance over time, a protective layer can be reapplied every 1-2 years, depending on wear.
