Description

Wood Impregnating Oil, for the protection and nourishment of wooden surfaces. Unlike conventional wood preservation oil, SurfaPaint Deck Oil is a waterproofing protective composition, ideal for wooden surfaces with excellent water and UV protection.

SurfaPaint™ Deck Oil is an advanced, binder-stabilized formula designed to effectively protect wooden surfaces, including against the harmful effects of UV radiation. The product not only protects the wood, but also nourishes it, restoring natural oils lost due to weathering, thus giving it a longer life and a revitalized appearance.

Application Instructions

The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, oils, grease or loose residue.
In hot and dry conditions, lightly spray the surface with water before application.
Remove any layer of varnish, paint or waterproofing material, using appropriate sandpaper, until the wood is clean and sound.
For planed wood, perform a light sanding with sandpaper.
Spray the wood with water: If drops remain on the surface, additional preparation (sanding) is required. If the water penetrates the wood, the surface is ready for application.
Shake the product well before use and during application to ensure uniform distribution of the components.
Apply one or two coats with a brush or roller, following the steps:
Make sure the oil penetrates the wood well by applying in the direction of the grain.
Maintain a wet edge by returning to the already treated area while it is still wet.
Remove excess product, if necessary.
Apply the second coat only after the first has completely dried.

Note this:

Does not apply todamp, frozen wood or wood with moisture content above 18%– penetration will be affected.
Not recommended forwood previously coated with paints, varnishes or film-forming filmswithout completely removing them.
Does not apply totemperatures below +10°Cor under conditions ofhigh humidityORimminent rain.
Does not provide mechanical protection –not suitable for floors or surfaces subject to heavy trafficwithout additional treatment.
Efficiency varies depending onspecific absorption of wood essence– additional coats may be necessary on very porous wood.

HOW TO USE

SHAKE THE CAN WELL BEFORE USE!!

Shake the can vigorously before use.to ensure complete homogenization of the components and obtaining a uniform and effective application.

CLEAN AND DRY THE SURFACE WELL!!

For this step, you can use a detergent from the Nanomax range for wood cleaning. Clean the surface thoroughly with detergent and let it dry thoroughly. Use protective gloves.

Apply with a brush, in a thin layer, do not iron and do not let the surface come into contact with water for at least 5 hours.

If necessary, a second layer can be applied.

For this step, use a brush, roller, or sprayer. After 5 hours, apply a 2nd very thin layer to reinforce the protection.

The oil is compatible withall types of wood, so muchsoft essence(pine, spruce), as well asstrong essence(oak, teak, acacia). It is ideal for exterior or interior wood, provided the surface isdry, clean and polishedsuitable.

Is it suitable for garden or patio furniture?

Yes. NanoMax impregnating oil is formulated forprotection and maintenance of wood exposed to weathering, being excellent forgarden furniture, terraces, fences, pergolas or gazebos.

How often does it need to be reapplied?

Under normal conditions, the treatment is reappliedonce a yearor whenever the wood begins to lose its uniform appearance or becomes dull/dry to the touch. In areas heavily exposed to sun or rain, more frequent reapplication may be necessary.

Can it be applied over old varnishes or paints?

No. The oil must be appliedonly on natural, completely cleaned wood, without film-forming films (varnish, paint, enamel, etc.). These prevent the oil from penetrating the structure and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
