Description

Solution against wall moisture

SurfaPore RD is a water-based colloidal impregnation solution, specially designed for the protection of building surfaces due to increased moisture levels.

Strong chemical compatibility with construction materials and ease of application are ensured due to its inorganic formulation. After application with SurfaPore RD waterproofing agent into the substrate, a permanent and dense 3D waterproof network is chemically formed that prevents water absorption by capillary action. Natural appearance, water vapor permeability and porosity of the treated surfaces remain unaffected.

Recommended use : 

Ideal for interior and/or exterior, absorbent, untreated construction surfaces made of inorganic materials, such as concrete, plaster, cement, porous stones, bricks and clay. 

Surface preparation : 

All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease and other foreign matter. For freshly poured cement surfaces and new masonry it is recommended to apply after 4 weeks, so that the material hardens.

Before applying SurfaPore RD , paint, primer, and any other treatment must be completely removed (e.g. painted walls), Damaged surfaces must be repaired, and cracks and gaps must be filled with appropriate putty or repair material.

Application Instructions

  • The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease or other foreign residues or contamination.
  • New cement and masonry substrates: Cure for at least 4 weeks before application.
  • Already treated surfaces: Completely remove paint, primer, coatings or other previous treatments.
  • Repair damaged surfaces. Fill cracks and gaps with putty or other suitable repair materials.
  • Shake well before use.
  • Apply SurfaPore™ RD using: Brush, roller or airless sprayer.
  • On highly absorbent or worn surfaces: Reapply after 15 minutes for optimal protection.
  • Remove excess product.
  • After drying, if necessary, clean the treated surface of dust with a dry brush.
  • Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with warm water and soap.

What type of moisture does this solution combat?

The solution is formulated to combatcapillary moisture– i.e. the gradual absorption of water from the ground through brick, concrete or plaster walls. It is not intended for active infiltration or water leakage.

Can it be applied to painted walls or ceramic tiles?

No. The product must be appliedonly on porous and absorbent surfaces, such as mineral plaster, exposed brick or concrete. Washable paint, filler or waterproof coatings must be removed before application.

How long does it take for the product to take effect?

Under normal temperature and ventilation conditions, the effect begins to manifest itself after24–48 hours. Complete drying of the wall may take longer, depending on the initial degree of moisture.

Can I later apply paint or decorative plaster over this solution?

Yes, butonly after the solution has completely driedand the wall is stabilized. It is recommended to wait at least 48 hours before applying other finishing materials.
