Description

Brick Waterproofing Solution

SurfaPore R protects your ceramic tiles against water infiltration. Ceramic tiles on the roof are effectively protected from damage and unsightly greening of mold.

SurfaPore R preserves the aesthetics of ceramic tiles, protecting them against water and aging.

SurfaPore R was designed to exactly match the structural properties of clay-based materials.

After applying SurfaPore R, ceramic roofs repel water and can remain dry even after rain. By excluding water, you will protect your clay roofs and surfaces from greening and cracking, resulting from frost.

SurfaPore R is a water-based emulsion, composed of nanoparticles, which has 2 molecular regions:

a) Nanoparticle core, appropriately designed to fit the pores of a clay surface.

b ) The hydrophobic bond attached above the core of the nanoparticle, responsible for creating a continuous hydrophobic layer covering all pores.

Application Instructions

  • Surface application: The surface must be dry and clean.
  • Apply SurfaPore R using a brush, roller or spray gun. No dilution is required. On very absorbent surfaces, reapply within 3 hours.
  • Dip application: Dip the clay plate in SurfaPore R for 30 seconds. In any case (whether surface application or dip application) test on a small area before starting the full process. Maximum protection is achieved 24 hours after application.
Note

Note this:

Does not repair structural cracks or active infiltrations
Do not apply to surfaces already treated with varnishes, paints or other waterproof solutions.
Not suitable for non-absorbent surfaces
Efficiency decreases if applied to a dirty or wet surface
Does not protect against hydrostatic pressure
It is not a decorative product – it does not change the appearance of the surface

FAQ

What types of surfaces can be treated with this solution?

The solution is intended for waterproofingexposed bricks, porous bricks, unfinished brick facades, decorative masonry, as well as otherabsorbent mineral materials, such as natural stone or raw plaster.

Does the solution change the appearance of the brick? Does it make it shiny or darker?

No. The solution has ainvisible effectafter drying. It does not change the color, texture or gloss of the surface. The brick retains its natural appearance, but becomes water resistant.

How long does the waterproofing effect last?

Under normal conditions, the hydrophobic effect is maintained between3 and 5 years, depending on exposure to rain, freeze/thaw and the level of wear of the treated surface.

Can I apply the solution to a wall that is already painted or varnished?

No. To work properly, the solution must be appliedonly on porous, clean and uncoated surfaces. Previous paints, varnishes or other treatments may block penetration into the material.
