SurfaPaint EPFNova Epoxy Floor Top Coat, Epoxy Resin Sealant is created from 100% pure, two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin designed to withstand harsh chemicals.

It is an innovative product with incorporated elastomer silicone nanoparticles, which allows impact/abrasion energy to be taken up (absorbed) by the product without affecting its durability.

It is an excellent coating for floors exposed to different temperature differences with a maximum of 60 degrees and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius.

To avoid the formation of air bubbles , it is very important to use a spiked roller (screed roller) when the desired layer thickness has been reached.

Conditions during application: Substrate temperature must be at least 10°C in air and a minimum of 3°C. Good ventilation is required in confined spaces to ensure proper drying. The coating must not be exposed to oil or substances until fully cured.

What role does the epoxy sealant play in the floor protection system?

The epoxy sealant acts as a penetrating primer– seals concrete pores, increases adhesion of subsequent paints or epoxy finishes, and provides protection against moisture and contaminants.

Can it be applied directly to newly poured concrete?

Not immediately. The concrete must be completely dried and matured, meaning to have passed at least 28 days from pouring. Residual moisture affects the adhesion and hardening of the product.

Is it mandatory to sand the concrete before application?

Yes, for optimal results. It is recommended mechanical grinding or light sanding, to open the pores of the concrete and ensure maximum grip of the igiliant.

Can it be used as a final layer, without any other coating?

Yes, in technical spaces or warehouses where an aesthetic finish is not required. However, for areas with heavy traffic or exposed to UV rays, it is recommended to apply a epoxy or polyurethane topcoat additional protection.
