Concrete or Mortar Additive to strengthen adhesion and elasticity

SurfaMix C is a water-based, latex-free admixture for cement and gypsum-based mortars for plasters. This additive increases adhesion to application surfaces. It improves elasticity and reduces cracking, the formation and shrinkage of cracks that could absorb water.

It is ideal for exterior and interior masonry, filling and repair mortars, fine plasters and as an adhesion strengthening agent for materials used in fixing ceramic and porcelain tiles. It can also be used as a primer to improve surface adhesion.

SurfaMix C makes the homogenization of materials easier and the working time almost doubles, making it possible to use larger quantities of mixture.

Application Instructions

  • Mixing: add SurfaMix C directly to the cement-based mixture, at a rate of 5-10% of the weight of the cement used and not of the total mixture, or you can add 2.5-5 kg ​​of SurfaMix C for every 50 kg of cement.
  • The addition of SurfaMix C can reduce or eliminate the use of other binding materials (e.g. lime) in the mix.
  • When applying a cement-based mixture to an existing concrete surface, you can increase adhesion by using SurfaMix C applied using either a roller or brush.
  • The surface to be applied must be clean and dry. SurfaMix C can be diluted 1:5 with water (one part SurfaMix C and 4 parts water).
  • For maximum water resistance, use Nanomax Rock hardened cement surfaces.
