*Working timefor SurfaDur F Floor is 45 minutes at 25°C. Avoid covering the expansion joints of the floor. After SurfaDur F Floor has hardened, apply a “flexible” polyurethane sealant to the expansion joints. Spreading rate: 2-3 m2/L, per coat.

Description

SurfaDur F is a self-leveling polyaspartic paint with an innovative, monolithic, fully bonded, self-leveling coating formula, suitable for the most demanding flooring applications. Created based on proprietary modified polyaspartic technology, it is a high-build formula (100% solids – contains no solvents).

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, loose materials, and contamination.
The substrate temperature must not exceed 30°C (86°F), and the substrate’s moisture content must not exceed 15%, otherwise curing times may be reduced.
Use SurfaPaint Epoxy WB as a primer for the surface to ensure optimal adhesion. SurfaPaint Epoxy WB can be applied with a roller, brush, or spray in a single coat at a consumption rate of 10 m².

Along the edges of a floor with vertical elements (parapet, stairwell termination, etc.), pipe joints, ventilation joints, connections of metal elements, joints between metal sheets or panels, screws, or joints in the substrate (wider than 1 mm) must be sealed with a polyurethane sealant, 24 hours after applying the epoxy primer.
Allow 24 hours of curing after applying SurfaPaint Epoxy WB or the polyurethane sealant before applying SurfaDur F.

Therefore, the entire applied volume is converted into the dry film thickness, increasing the cost efficiency of the application. The core structure of the modified polyaspartic components ensures extremely high tensile strength values, combined with elasticity and exceptional adhesion strength to the substrate.
SurfaDur F offers unique resistance to harsh weather conditions, even under standing water or high UV exposure.
While SurfaDur F cures quickly (<24h), it allows extended working time (45 min at 25°C – 77°F) for easy application.

After curing, the resulting monolithic membrane becomes a seamless barrier to water and vapor/gas.

SurfaDur F is highly recommended for heavy-traffic platform systems (ramps, parking lots, parking areas), pedestrian walkways, roof decks, and industrial floors.

Ideal also for cold storage facilities, laboratories, hospitals, food and beverage factories, kitchens, IT and data facilities, dairies, warehouses, factories, and hangars.

Application Instructions

*Recommended to apply Primer Epoxy preventively at least 12 hours before applying Surfadur to reduce the paint consumption rate and increase adhesion.
*Always mix Hardener B into Base A. Use a suitable container, mixing paddle and/or drill for thorough mixing. Continue mixing for one minute after Hardener B has been added to Base A. Make sure the mixing paddle reaches all parts of the mixing container. If necessary, transfer the mixed materials to a new container for easier roller application.
*Application tools: brush, roller, sprayer. Roller application: A short-bristle, microfiber or thin-resistant roller provides an extremely smooth application. Do not use foam rollers. Start by painting the perimeter edges with the brush and avoid.
*Apply the mixed product in two or three coats, but avoid excessive rolling. Then apply in a crisscross motion. Use 10 cm wide fiberglass tape along joints or cracks larger than 1.5 mm. It is best to spread the amount before SurfaDur F Floor starts to harden, so it is best to work in sections.
*Broadcast Application: After applying SurfaDur F Floor and while the material is still wet, hand spread quartz in a “raindrop” pattern into the wet resin until completely covered. No resin or “wet” areas should be visible. Once SurfaDur F Floor has cured, remove excess quartz using a vacuum cleaner or broom. A second coat of SurfaDur F Floor can be applied when a smoother surface texture is desired.
